Extension of Battery Rebate via Greenfield Energy

Hi Cairns !!!

As you may be aware, the official government battery rebate is scheduled to conclude at the end of this month. However, at Greenfield Energy, we understand that many Cairns residents are still looking to secure their energy independence.

To ensure no one misses out, Greenfield Energy is personally extending the rebate value for those who couldn't meet the government deadline. Even though the official funding is ending, we will apply a direct discount equivalent to the rebate amount to your quote for all bookings made by May 31st.

Don't miss this final opportunity to add storage to your system.

CAIRNS & QLD HOMEOWNERS: DON’T MISS OUT ON $1,000+ SAVINGS! 🚨

If you’ve been thinking about adding a battery to your solar system, the clock is officially ticking. The Federal Rebate for home batteries is changing significantly on May 1, 2026, and waiting could cost you over $1,000.

The Deadline: April 30, 2026.

What’s Changing?
On May 1, the "STC Factor" (which determines your rebate value) drops from 8.4 to 6.8. Additionally, a new tiered tapering system begins:
✅ Currently: Full rebate for systems up to 50 kWh.
❌ After May 1: Full rate only applies to the first 14 kWh. Capacity between 14–28 kWh drops to 60% value, and anything over 28 kWh drops to just 15%.

The Bottom Line:
For a standard 13.5 kWh battery, installing before May 1 could save you approximately $1,000 to $1,100 more than waiting until after the deadline.

Get those quotes in and installations booked before the April 30 cutoff to maximize your certificates! 🔋☀️
