Feel honoured to have my car featured on the poster for this event.

I’ve been to 6 Banger Nats as a spectator and most recently as a competitor. I highly recommend the event to those who believe “6 in a row aint slow!”

The crew at Warwick Dragway put on a great show and the track itself is awesome. So if you’re thinking of going - do it. You won’t regret it.

Well we nearly got this Drag and Drive Cortina into the 10’s!! So close to ticking off a personal goal. There are faster NA Crossflow powered cars around - that I’m well aware of. I have no intention of trying to chase them.

My personal goal is to get a full weight, drag and drive car into the 10’s. A car that can run the numbers in full super street legal form, but also complete the drives. After doing Friday and Sunday of All stars drag and drive at Willowbank we went to Mackay the following weekend to compete in The Road Trip - Drag challenge, on a street tyre!!

LOKI just did its job over both weekends. A bunch of 11.0’s at All stars Drag and Drive with a 6.9 1/8th and 119.80 MPH 1/4. Backed that up with 7.0’s every day on a street tyre over the 1/8 the next weekend was cool. Winning the class against a very tough Clevo XE by a very narrow margin was also cool.

Best part about all of this is we are just starting to get an idea of what the car wants. We did a couple of 1/8th mile passes on a taller tyre than what we ran the 11.0’s on and the splits were BETTER on the taller tyre. I’ve spoken with Craig Burns at SCF race cars about some things that are going on with the chassis and we have come up with a plan.

We may have another crack at running a 10 in the near future. At the moment I’m actually super happy with the car and could very easily just park it. What do you think? Should we have another crack?
