HeliMods is incredibly honoured to have been nominated for International Health Exporter of the Year at the National Export Awards at held this week at Parliament House, Canberra. That's a wrap for the kilometers in Royal Flying Doctor Service Oceans to Outback 2023! ✈️
We have seen incredible efforts by the HeliMods team who rode, ran and walked over 500km for the month of October!

Thank you to those who supported us and helped us raise vital funds for the RFDS! So far, as an organisation so far we have raised over $2,600, with our target being $3,000! A big shout out to Caloundra Chamber of Commerce and the Caloundra community for being involved in this important initiative.
In total, the RFDS has raised over $3.4 million dollars, but we aren't done yet! Fundraising will continue until the end of November. Every two minutes, someone needs the RFDS; together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. If you would like to donate, please follow the link below.

Over the weekend HeliMods welcomed over 50 UQ Alumni to a UQ Regional Roadshow community event here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Guests were given a behind-the-scenes tour of our state-of-the-art facility and were immersed into our prototyping, digital design, i4.0 manufacturing and aircraft integration workspaces.

To support our emerging professionals, HeliMods have gotten behind Forward Fest Sunshine Coast 2022 and have ‘Paid it Forward’ for a number of students from Caloundra State High School. This will give the students the opportunity to experience world class speakers and provide valuable insights for their futures. The students opted-in to this initiative and will be able to select which day and which speakers they wish to hear from to inspire their upcoming school electives and career paths.

Last month we celebrated National Blood Donor week. We need over 1.7 million donations each year in Australia to meet our demand. One blood donation can save up to three lives.

Our HeliMods Australian Red Cross Lifeblood Team participated in another organisational blood drive and has helped save 69 lives this year! We are excited to increase this in the coming 6 months.
