Sunshine Coast Paddlesports Club – Maroochydore

Just before Christmas we were asked to step in and complete the renovation of the bathroom and change room facilities at the Sunshine Coast Paddlesports Club after the original builder was no longer able to deliver the project.

The works had been approved through a grant application made by the club, so completing the project before the Christmas break was important for the organisation and its members.

The existing bathrooms and change rooms were fully removed and replaced with new, functional facilities including:

• A new accessible bathroom and shower
• Two separate toilet and basin areas
• Two new shower and change rooms

The updated spaces provide safer, more practical amenities for paddlers, volunteers and visitors using the club.

Projects like this are always rewarding — particularly when they support local community organisations.

From outdated to thoughtfully designed.

As part of this full home renovation in Wurtulla, three bathrooms were completely reimagined to improve comfort, storage and everyday functionality.

Ensuite
Designed as a private retreat, the ensuite features custom-built cabinetry with generous drawer storage, a large walk-in shower with a curved glass screen and tiled bench seat, and for added comfort a Venezia Acrylic Corner Bath.

Main Bathroom
A spacious vanity with ample storage keeps everyday items organised, paired with a curved glass shower screen to create a softer, more open feel within the room.

Second Bathroom
Although a smaller space, thoughtful design ensured it still offers practical storage with a vanity featuring drawer storage and a semi-frameless shower screen to maintain a clean, modern look.

All bathrooms feature Akemi tapware and Positano Oval Solid Surface basins from , paired with floor-to-ceiling tiles from Tile Wizards for a cohesive finish throughout the home.

Small, overlooked spaces can make a big difference to how a home functions.

As part of this full home renovation in Wurtulla, the staircase and laundry were completely reimagined to create a cleaner, more practical transition between levels.

The original staircase felt heavy and enclosed. By introducing glass balustrading and a microcement feature wall, the space now feels lighter, more open and visually connected to the rest of the home.

The laundry was also redesigned from a basic utility area into a practical working space with custom cabinetry, stacked appliances and durable stone benchtops and splashback to match the kitchen.

Thoughtful planning in these areas helps everyday tasks feel simpler while creating a more cohesive flow throughout the home.

Sometimes it’s the in-between spaces that have the biggest impact.

A kitchen transformation from our recent Wurtulla home renovation.

The original kitchen felt darker and visually heavy within the space. The new design focuses on creating a brighter, more functional layout that better supports everyday family living.

A large island now sits at the centre of the kitchen, with generous drawer storage and space for meals, homework or entertaining.

YDL Kalala Bianco stone benchtops and splashbacks bring a clean, cohesive finish, while Polytec Woodmatt Boston Oak overhead cabinetry adds warmth above the Classic White Sheen cabinetry.

A practical, welcoming kitchen designed to work with the rest of the home.
