JAKES REFLECTIONS -
I love these machines, I remember operating one for the first time at Jayco in Qbn. I must of been 13 or 14. (16/17 years ago)
I hit a big steel plate and got thrown into a wall and did some damage.
That was the last time that happened, thankfully.
Following that is essentially 10 years straight of pushing a manual machine (If I was lucky)
I’ve hand ground for thousands of hours.. Dead set. No Jokes.
Realistically I have always been the hand me down kid.
Never a new machine, never a nice vehicle, never the first to get things. Never a sick day.
Just the youngest, with a good attitude and passion about learning and improving.
First time ever touching an RC was when I bought one for 40k 23 months ago. It was a scary investment and high risk after just employing my 5th person.
Next one was the GK - Even scarier.
2 x New vacs
2 x new vehicles
1 x new generator
A beautiful workshop that I have heavily invested into making it somewhere that feels nice.
It feels foreign to have the best and newest machinery, beautiful vehicles, a place to be proud of - I am not accustom to these things.
I just want the best for my business and I want the boys to be in an environment where they feel valued and can thrive.
I really just want to dominate everyone in my arena.
Provide the best service, hands down.
Deliver the best quality floors faster than everyone else.
To push our industry further.
It felt good to plow through a 1st cut today and reflect on life and business a little.
I feel like there’s some big shifts happening in me at the moment - So it will be interesting to see where that takes us.
