Throwback to an extension Emporium Building Group carried out in McGregor ACT for a private client.
This project was completed in 4 months by reconfiguring the existing bathroom and laundry and adding a master bedroom and large walk in robe to the back of the house.
We used two cladding systems, i.e. To the Northern and Western face we used stained timber cladding, and to the Eastern face we used an expressed seam cladding system.

When faced with material or trade shortage, as a builder you need to be resourceful in dealing with any situation.
This is an extension we are carrying out in Bonython, Canberra and usually would have all trusses pre-made. Due to suppliers not keeping up with industry demand we decided not to stay in the queue and build our own.

AUS Cupolex slab in Narrabundah designed by Nastasi & Associates Consulting Engineers, completed by Emporium Building Group and ready to pour.
Cupolex is;
- A sacrificial void forming system which utilises Recycled Plastic Interlocking Domes to create concrete foundations
- It has exceptional strength, use less concrete, less steel and less labour. These savings are passed onto our customers
- Provides an under slab void and results in minimal concrete contact with the soil. This is significant for protecting the structure from water damage, concrete wicking and mould.
- The silver lining you see in the photo is a thermal wrap designed and engineered for the Australian climate. It is a concrete underlay that provides effective moisture control and thermal insulation.
