One great use of 3d printing is production of parts that are no longer made by the original manufacturer. One of our early projects of this type was the reproduction of a rear vision mirror for a Goggomobile Dart.
The Goggomobil Dart was an Australian two-seat, open-top sports car built by Buckle Motors between 1959 and 1961, using the chassis and mechanicals of the German Goggomobil microcar. It featured an Australian-designed fiberglass body with no doors and a rear-mounted, two-cylinder, two-stroke engine, making it Australia's smallest production sports car.
3ngineered were asked by a restorer to reproduce the interior rear vision mirror.
