Following a recent incident where a dog trailer tipped onto its side, we've taken a proactive step to prevent such occurrences with the launch of our Truck & Trailer Safety Video. 🎥

Amy is an Apprentice at Huon Contractors Pty Ltd

Amy started her apprenticeship at Huon in 2021 and has been an integral part of the small mechanical team. She is moving into her third year of her Heavy vehicle commercial and mobile plant apprenticeship.

Amy is a Canberra region local and has completed her schooling and ongoing education in the region. Amy’s passion for machinery and mechanics began from a young age where she grew up on a farm. This passion is what inspired her to pursue a qualification, and career relating to mechanics and subsequently, construction.

Amy’s current work at Huon is on heavy and mobile plant in the civil construction industry including work on excavators, dump trucks, scrapers as well as smaller plant such as pumps and compactors.

Full steam ahead on the RIFL Hub project with A One Earthworks progressing well with the bulk earthworks!

Earthworks on the next stage of the Riverina Intermodal Freight and Logistics (RiFL) Hub at Bomen Industrial Precinct have made significant progress at the site just one month into this construction phase.

Heavy machinery operating on the 80-hectare site have shifted 100,000 cubic metres of earth since 22 January.

More plant is expected on site in coming weeks with the aim to move 100,000 cubic metres each month until June towards a total of 500,000.
