Still riding the high from the Port to Pub 2026
From the electric atmosphere at the start line to the stunning swim across to Rottnest, it was an unreal day out on the water!
Altona’s Team of 6 put in a massive effort. The teamwork, grit, and determination was incredible to watch.
Crossing that finish line after taking on one of WA’s most iconic swims is no small feat and they absolutely smashed it.
We couldn’t be prouder and are already looking forward to next year!

Altona Group recently celebrated an incredible milestone 50 years in business with a gala evening at Optus Stadium in Perth.

More than 300 guests joined us, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, industry partners, and past and present staff, all coming together to celebrate the people and relationships that have shaped Altona over the past five decades.

A highlight of the evening was the original Altona blue Bedford truck, beautifully restored and displayed as a tribute to the company’s beginnings under founders Kim and Maureen Byrne. It was a proud reminder of how far the company has come.

The evening included pre-drinks overlooking the stadium, a panel discussion on Altona’s journey, long-term employee awards, and incredible entertainment that made the night truly memorable.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Altona story over the past 50 years. We are proud of our past and excited for the future.

We’re proud to announce the successful delivery of the upgraded fire pump system at Christmas Island Airport for Toll Remote Logistics.

This project marks the continuation of a journey that began in 2015, when we installed the original system. Nearly a decade later, we've returned to ensure the airport’s fire safety infrastructure remains compliant, reliable, and ready to perform.

A huge thank you to our incredible team for their expert work in a challenging remote location, and to our logistics partners for helping make it happen.

Altona Group is proud to be returning to Christmas Island Airport to replace the fire pump set for Toll Remote Logistics—a system we originally installed in 2015 as part of a hydraulic services upgrade.

A decade later, it’s time for an upgrade! The new pump set has set sail on its long journey aboard the cargo ship ASC Lotti and is scheduled to arrive in March. Once it reaches port, our team will be on-site to complete the installation and ensure the airport’s fire safety system remains reliable and efficient.

We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a contract for works associated with the New Midland Train Station, part of the METRONET project for the Midland Junction Alliance.

Our scope of work includes the removal and disposal of the existing DN535 asbestos-coated steel pipe, removal and disposal of redundant drainage, installation of a new DN610 MSCL RRJ-WR water main at Railway Parade.

In addition to this contract, we are proud to share that we have just received the Safety Recognition Award for 2024 from MJA for our commitment to excellence and safety.
