MFE Supports the Biggest Morning Tea ☕

Today our team proudly came together to support the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea 💛

We’re pleased to contribute a $500 donation to help fund vital cancer research, prevention programs, and support services for those affected.
To celebrate the day, we also treated the team to some homemade sausage rolls – because nothing brings people together like good food for a great cause!
A big thank you to everyone who got involved. Every little bit helps make a difference.

Not bad for one day a week! 👏

Our school-based Boilermaker apprentice Angus (who attends Chinchilla Christian College) has been with us for just over two months and has already made a big impression on the workshop team.

From day one, Angus has shown up with a great attitude — polite, hardworking, eager to learn, and always willing to jump in and have a go. For someone so new to the trade, he’s already exceeding expectations and proving he’s got a bright future ahead in fabrication.

His welding and fabrication skills have been seriously impressive so far, and it’s been great watching his confidence and ability continue to grow each week.

We’re proud to have Angus as part of the team and can’t wait to see what he achieves next. 🔥👨‍🏭

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums, step mums, work mums, grandmas, bonus mums and the women who somehow keep everyone organised while running on cold coffee and pure determination 💐

Today we celebrate the ladies who juggle family, work, school lunches, life admin and still somehow remember where everyone’s missing things are.

We hope your day is filled with love, laughter, maybe a sleep in… and at the very least, nobody asking “what’s for dinner?” for one whole day 😂

Aidan tried his best to sneak his birthday past us this year… but unfortunately for him, the admin detectives were onto it pretty quickly. 😂

So naturally, we celebrated with a carrot cake — not because he asked for it, but because we figured it sounded responsible and manager-like. 🥕Not sure the boys were emotionally prepared for a “healthy” birthday cake, but we’ll call it balance.

Happy Birthday Dan! 🎉

Our Project Coordinator tried to get away with no cake for his birthday so we kept it classy this year… by requesting KFC instead of a cake 🍗

Still got the candle, no slicing, just a table full of fried chicken and a team silently judging how many pieces one man can put away in a single sitting. Respect.

Project timelines? Managed.
Deadlines? Met.
KFC bucket? Absolutely demolished.

Birthday shoutout to our amazing Admin Specialist Alissa!

Keeping us all in line and somewhat under control, and somehow still smiling through the chaos… we’re starting to think it’s a Kiwi superpower 🥝

From sorting the madness behind the scenes to making sure nothing falls through the cracks, Alissa is an absolute legend (even if she does say “fush and chups” 😉).

We’d be lost without you, Alissa – thanks for everything you do! 💚

Not sure how this happened… one minute you’re the “young one” at work and now you’re officially stepping into full adult status (we’ll let you decide what that actually means 😂

🏅 March Safety Award 🏅
We’re pleased to recognise Tony as our March Safety Award recipient.
Throughout March, Tony has consistently led meaningful safety conversations on site, covering key topics such as exclusion zones, dropped object awareness, 100% hook up, use of spotters, equipment checks, permits and JSEAs. These discussions support safe work practices and reinforce our shared responsibility to look out for one another.
Tony’s proactive approach and willingness to engage with the team has made a positive contribution to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Thank you, Tony, for your ongoing commitment to safety and for setting a strong example for others.
