We’ve hit the ground running with our first big operation since becoming a standalone regulator!

In early July, our inspectors carried out unannounced safety checks at nearly 400 high-risk worksites across NSW. These included construction sites, farms, factories and aged care homes.

Here are the results:
🔹 506 notices issued (including 10 fines totalling nearly $50,000)
🔹 Top issues: working at heights and unsafe machinery
🔹 192 notices for hazards such as unprotected edges
🔹 285 notices for unsafe use of things such as forklifts, cranes and conveyors
