More time to apply! We’ve extended the deadline for our Community Grants Program, giving local community groups and not‑for‑profit organisations extra time to apply.

If your organisation supports communities across Boddington, Collie, Murray, Williams, Wandering, Waroona or Greater Bunbury, this is an opportunity to bring your local ideas to life.

Our grants support community‑led projects that strengthen connection, wellbeing and opportunity across the South West and Peel.

A huge thank you to South32 for their generous grant, which has enabled the Amaroo Primary School P&C Association to purchase and install a brand new pie warmer in our P&C-run canteen 🙌

This upgrade is already making a big difference to our Breakfast Club, helping us provide warm food to students each morning and better support their wellbeing and readiness to learn.

We are incredibly grateful for South32’s support of our school community – it’s partnerships like this that help us make meaningful improvements for our students 💛

Celebrating Sammi Rae! So well deserved. Your dedication, leadership and passion for supporting the future of women in mining is inspiring. We're so proud of you.

Congratulations to Sammi Rae, our 2026 winner of the WIRA Outstanding Operator/Technician/Trade Woman Award!

Sammi began her career in 2018 as a labour-hire operator before joining South32 Worsley Alumina as a Superintendent of Drill, Blast and Exploration.

She has delivered record drilling performance, improved efficiency and reduced safety incidents through stronger planning and team development.

Beyond operations, Sammi coaches emerging leaders, supports inclusive hiring and development programs, and has spoken to girls at Narrogin Agricultural College about careers in mining. She also volunteers through her local community resource centre.

Get your grant application off the ground with a FREE Grant Writing Workshop. We’re partnering with the Shire of Collie to deliver a practical, one‑hour session covering the key aims and assessment criteria, how to write clear objectives, how to work effectively with partners, and how to plan budgets and co‑contributions. The workshop also includes an overview of AI, ethics and project management essentials.

Support will be available throughout the session for any questions, and you can also book an optional 30‑minute session for personalised guidance.

If your project is designed to strengthen collaboration and scale impact, apply for an Amplify Grant, with funding between $5,000–$10,000 to help you reach more people and deepen regional outcomes.
