Did you know we hold a Guinness World Record?

One of our conveyors holds the Guinness World Records title for the world's longest single conveyor belt.

Stretching 31 kilometres this feat of engineering helps reduce road transport and heavy vehicle movements, improving safety on local roads.

Opened in 1983, it passes through 22 tunnels and 10 bridges between the mine and refinery.

Today marks the anniversary of this record.

Today marks 20 years since the opening of Berth 6, Worsley Alumina's dedicated ship-loading facility at Bunbury Port.

Over the past two decades, millions of tonnes of alumina have passed through the facility on their way to destinations around the world.

More than 8,000 kilometres from Bunbury, CL TOMO was photographed unloading Worsley's alumina at Richards Bay, South Africa.

These photos are a reminder of what Berth 6 makes possible. Twenty years of connecting our operation to the world.

For all of the delegates, it was their first visit to a bauxite mine.

As part of the AusIMM Iron Ore and Open Pit Conferences, 22 visitors joined us at our Boddington Bauxite Mine last week.

Visitors explored ore characterisation, mining activities and progressive rehabilitation while learning more about our operation and exchanging ideas with our team.

After the January bushfires, the Wandering community identified critical gaps, especially around power, communication and access to fuel during outages.

With support from South32, new backup generators are now in place to help keep essential services running by supporting communications, fuel access and assisting firefighting operations during emergencies.

It’s a practical step identified by the community to strengthen emergency response.

We’re proud to play a part in building resilience across the communities where we live and work.
