WARNING to all prospective lease owners. A geo mate has just updated me... the cost of pe***ng a 200ha lease in WA is now $900 rent, $450 Application cost, $5,000 Heritage agreement plus $5,000 per year for access and some $50,000-$120,000 for a site survey, probably about $20,000 for a baseline flora and fauna study, all before you can drill a hole! So if you want to explore, look at about $150,000 before you can strike a blow, and if the DBCA and EPA or DLPH or DWER get involved, make it 2 to 4 years!

Remember this before you get a lease!

They call me old school geo because I pan drill samples but its better than waiting a month for your assays. Theres nothing like seeing it in the dish. And dont bother with those American type pans put out by Garret or Minelab. Get a small black Thorpie. They are so much more practical. Even better than the old Lucky Strike pans which were bakerlite.
