🔋 Australia's energy landscape is changing rapidly.
Over the past year alone:
• More than 266,000 home batteries were installed nationwide
• Residential battery storage grew by approximately 7.7GWh
• Australia is now installing over 1,000 home batteries every day
To put that into perspective, that additional storage capacity is comparable to around 40 large-scale grid batteries.
At the same time, the Federal Government has expanded its battery program from $2.3 billion to $7.2 billion and is targeting more than 2 million battery installations by 2030.
For homeowners, this shift is about more than technology.
As feed-in tariffs decline and evening electricity costs remain a concern, many households are looking at ways to store excess solar energy for later use rather than sending it back to the grid.
Do you think home batteries will become as common as rooftop solar over the next decade?
