Prepare
Preparation is key! Put on some old clothes, to make sure you aren’t tempted to head to the shops for a coffee, and get your cleaning supplies ready. Make sure you have everything you need before you start.

Big Jobs First
Tackle those big jobs that annoy you the most first! Getting them out of the way will motivate you to finish the last few little jobs on your list. Make sure you don’t do your regular cleaning in the days leading up to your spring clean, or you’ll probably find yourself doubling up on tasks.

Outsource
If you’re short on time, suffer from a bad back or just really hate a specific task, outsourcing could be a solution for you. Although it can be a bit pricey, hiring someone to get the job done can be worth the price tag.

Is mildew a problem in your home during these cold months? These tips will help to stop mildew in it’s tracks!

1. Install thermally backed curtains
These curtains will help keep the heat inside, and hold it much better than thinner versions.

2. Double glaze your windows
Double glazed glass will help enormously with reducing condensation on your windows, as well as help with heat loss and gain.

3. Ventilation
A good ventilation system will help keep the moisture out of your home. This could be as simple as opening a window to help air move through.

4. Control the humidity
Using your AC unit to help lower the humidity will keep the pesky moisture from settling in on your windows. A standard electric fan can help with this as well.
