Today’s job at Hilltop Property Services involved testing out a new piece of kit - a wire recovery winch.

This handy bit of gear winds barbed wire back onto the wooden spools, making removal of old fences a breeze. No more “birds nests” of spiky barbed wire!

This old split post fence had collapsed and was completely overrun with vegetation. Reeled the old wire out of the fence and cleared the vegetation - easily done and now looks like there was never a fence there to begin with!

Tricky job this morning slashing a steeply sloping block at Cabarlah. Client needed vegetation cleared away from an old fence line to allow the fencing crew access for replacment. That wasn’t difficult enough apparently - needed the rain and fog for extra fun!

The photos don’t do the gradient justice - it was definitely a “holding on by the seat of your pants” block!
