We recently had the pleasure of completing a double storey extension and renovation in Heathmont for a lovely family. Here's what they had to say about Orchard Grove Building and our crew ...
“We cannot recommend the team at Orchard Grove Building more highly. After years of ‘umming’ and ‘awing,’ dreaming and planning, we finally decided on a renovation plan which included adding a second storey and fully remodelling our ‘ramshackle but too good/special to knock down’ home. After meeting with builder after builder and sharing our ideas, Nathan was the first who didn’t think we were crazy to want to renovate rather than knock down. That was the first sign. He listened to us, was ‘unfazed’ by the complexity of the project, and made us feel like anything was possible. We got a good feeling.
We knew we’d have to move out while the project was happening, so once we had an intended start date, we were able to secure a 6-month lease for our family of 5. Nathan was sympathetic to our needs around the timeframe. Not only were we back in our home by the time the lease was up, we were in with a week to spare! Talk about understanding your client’s needs!
With regard to the product: We found the craftsmanship to be outstanding—Nathan and Tom pay attention to the finest details. All of the carpentry was finished to the highest standard and we didn’t have to ask for it…it’s just the kind of work they do!! The sub-contractors had the same level of professionalism and enthusiasm; nothing was ever too much or too hard.
With this being our first renovation, we were pretty green. Nathan and Amy walked us through the various stages and kept us informed about what was happening and what they needed from us (e.g., tiles, toilets, lights, etc.). We liked that we had the flexibility to go and source our own items (fittings, fixtures, etc.). While Nathan and Amy gave us guidance, recommending various providers, ultimately we felt empowered to create a look that was truly our own and within our budget.
We are grateful to Nathan, Tom, Amy and the Orchard Grove Building sub-contractors for all they did to make the renovation process so enjoyable. You guys do incredible work and make dreams come true! “
