Why did they not keep the crossing open until the works were complete? Now we will have months of totally avoidable chaos and worse is to come when the South Gippsland Highway is closed for nearly a month. For what? To make things worse?

How to spend hundreds of millions of dollars for a terrible usafe and unwanted outcome. Just having not done this project could have supported our hard-working nurses and police! Instead we have this chaos and mismanagement. Well done Jacinta! You should have listened to your community!

Now they are going to close the South Gippsland Highway for three weeks to enable this woeful solution. Why did they not build a rail over? Would have been MUCH cheaper.

As a business owner under State Government law, I am criminally responsible if I do not listen to dangers raised by employees and they are subsequently injured. I expect the State Government - Gabrielle Williams as Minister for Infrastructure in particular - to be held to the same standard when the inevitable happens in Fowler Road! Closing Progress Street and diverting all traffic down ad hoc Fowler Road is criminal! Listen to your community Minister!
