⭐️ Administrator / Directors Assistant - Position Available ⭐️

L.A Build is a construction Company located in Darwin. We are currently seeking a reliable administrator with good communication skills, who can work both independently and within a team. The position would include managing construction records, project data recording, emails, accounts/bookkeeping, and assisting Directors. Experience using Excel & Word preferred.

* Casual Position - Approx. 20 to 30 hours per week - 9am to 2pm - Flexible work hours available. Pay rates based on experience & performance. Would suit a parent looking for school time hours. Office located in Knuckey Lagoon.

FOREMAN Position Available

LA Build require a reliable and experienced construction Foreman for house build projects located in remote areas of the Northern Territory, around Alice Springs, Darwin, Katherine, and Tennant Creek.

As a Construction Foreman you will be require to supervises and troubleshoots routine issues that occur on the job site. In addition to ensuring safety rules are followed, and have the ability to develop work schedules for sub-contractors, suppliers, and employees to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

LA Build is a family owned business and has been providing carpentry, roofing, and construction services to the Northern Territory for 10 years. We currently have a range of projects for new house builds in Darwin, Katherine, Alice Springs, and remote areas of the NT.

We are recruiting skilled carpenters. To be successful for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
* You have strong carpentry construction experience and skills.
* You are passionate about this industry and love what you do.
* You can work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* You can work independently and as part of a team.
* You understand the OH&S requirements, and have a Cert. III, White Card, & drivers licence.

Must be fit and able to work outdoors in humid/hot climate. Willing to work in remote areas of the NT.

BITUMEN BANDITS ARE BACK

​Be on the lookout for 'Bitumen Bandits' who have been spotted operating around Alice Springs and Katherine and are suspected to be heading further north.

The scam involves offering cheap deals such as sealing bitumen driveways, painting or roof repairs valid for 'today only', putting the resident under pressure to say yes and pay cash up front.

Once the cash has been handed over these con men disappear, do a shoddy job or leave the job incomplete.

​WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Be suspicious of people who:

- knock on your door unexpectedly
- offer cheap deals using words like 'for today only'
- have materials 'left over from a job', e.g. bitumen
- ask for cash up front
- offer to drive you to the bank to get money for payment
- make you feel pressured to accept their offer.
