Australian Ilmenite Resources Pty Limited (AIR), the operator of SILL 80 Project. Due to expanded operation, we are currently looking for SERVICEPERSON positions, immediate start AVAILABLE in our mine site. Option of two rosters, DIDO with company supplied vehicles. This role is suitable for candidates residing in NT. Immediate Start for a Trade Serviceperson. Lvl is dependant on experience.
The Role:
The role is key to our operational business as a vital member of a small team. The primary focus is to ensure the smooth, reliable, and efficient running of mining machinery and plant by continuous servicing, operating, monitoring, and recording information in most aspects of our plant.
Responsibilities：
• Operate the service truck and supply fuel grease and oils as required
• Ensure machinery is clean and operable
• Liaise with machine operators about the performance of equipment and report daily
• Take, record, and report readings of flow meters, fuel and oil stocks
• Carry out repairs to equipment within your capabilities
• Operate the low loader and other trucks
• Assist in the workshops when not operating the service truck
• Develop and maintain good work relationships with other sections
• Comply with company policies and procedures especially WHS, Quality Assurance, and environmental obligations
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Minimum 2 years working in a mine site/processing plant environment
• Must have experience in safe working practices around heavy machinery
• Relevant trade qualifications in operating machinery.
• Good work ethic, motivated, and capable of working in a dynamic small team
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Valid work rights in Australia
• Must be able to work unsupervised
• Keep workshop tidy
• Must be able to work in hot conditions.
• Highly regarded if there is experience splicing/ repairing conveyor belts
