Back when I was just an apprentice I watched my boss drill a hole for a dyno bolt in a concrete slab, he grabbed the bolt and put it in the hole, went for his hammer and it wasn’t there so he turned the drill around and smacked the bolt in with that. I was about a month into my time and when I looked at him he smirked and said “there’s a tool for every job, that’s not the tool for this job but it got the job done, if I catch you doing that with my tools I’ll knock ya teeth out but you understand what I’m saying too ya don’t ya” All you could do is laugh, give him the nod and get on with it. Tradies are a good bunch once you get to know us.
