Two Fujitsu Airstage jobs that didn't look like each other.

Zuccoli: a garage the owner wanted usable in the heat, so two Airstage units went in with the outdoor units stacked on the side wall to keep the footprint small.

Malak: a 2.5kW replacement on an elevated house, 4 to 5 metres of pipework down the wall to where the outdoor unit could actually sit, new brackets, new isolator.

Same unit, different problem each time. That's most of the job.

EV charger in at Bellamack.

Evnex 7kW on the garage wall, its own 32A circuit back to the board with a dedicated RCBO, local isolation, commissioned and online. We also fitted a Shelly energy monitor behind the panel so the owner can see solar, grid and the car on one screen.

If you've bought an EV and you're still running it off a power point, this is the proper version. We supply and install, or install the charger you've already got.

Before and after in Tiwi.

Two old switchboards, ceramic fuses, no safety switches, the kind of thing that's been quietly sitting behind a cupboard door since the house was built.

Both out. One new board in, flush mounted, every circuit on an RCBO, labelled so the next sparky doesn't have to guess.

If your board still has fuses you pull out and rewire, it's overdue.

Aircon not cooling? Three things to check before you call us.

1. Filters. Pull them out and look at them. If you can't see light through them, that's your problem.
2. Outdoor unit. Is the fan spinning? Is it packed in with plants or junk? It needs air around it.
3. The remote. Snowflake symbol, not the sun or the fan. You'd be surprised.

If it's none of those, it's probably gas or a board, and that's us.

Clean and service in Gray this morning.

Four units, and this is what the coil on one of them looked like before Trent got stuck in. Mould, dust, the lot. The unit works twice as hard pushing air through that, and you're breathing it.

Bag goes up, coil washed out, drain checked, back together and tested.

If yours hasn't been done since last build-up, now's the time, before the heat really gets going.

One house, one day, the lot.

Bakewell this week: new Fujitsu 7.1kW in the living area, circuit breaker upgraded to an RCBO, a broken light switch replaced, the ensuite switch moved to the inside wall where it should have been, a new 1400mm Clipsal fan, three aircon cleans and an induction cooktop swapped over.

That's the point of having sparkies and fridgies on the same crew. One booking, one invoice, one lot of mess cleaned up.

Daikin week.

Three 3.5kW splits into a Nakara house, one per bedroom, all done in the day. Then a new Daikin into a second lounge room out at Gunn, outdoor unit up on the wall and out of the way.

Neat heads inside, conduit run straight, and both houses sorted before build-up really gets going.

Build-up's here. This is what's inside an aircon that hasn't been cleaned in a couple of years.

Mould on the coil, muck through the louvres, dust packed into the filter. The unit works twice as hard, costs more to run, and you're breathing it.

A clean sorts all three. The bag goes up, the coil gets washed out, drain checked, back together and tested. If yours hasn't been done since last build-up, now's the time, before the heat really gets going.
