Leading Hand / Labour Assistance 👷🏼‍♂️

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Labourer / Leading Hand to join our construction team in the new year!

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, safety-conscious, and ready to take on additional responsibility in supporting the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities 🦺🧱🔨

- Operate forklift (daily pre-starts, moving blocks, reo, bins, etc.)
- Pick up and deliver materials/equipment from suppliers as required
- General site cleaning (rubbish removal, sweeping, bin management)
- Dust suppression (hosing/sprinklers on spoil, gravel, and work areas)
- Yard and site maintenance (grass care, debris removal)
- Assist with scaffolding setup and movement
- Support core-filling of block walls (prep, pouring, trowelling, cleanup)
- Assist with set-out checks (profiles, string lines, measuring)
- Support site inductions and toolbox talks when required
- Perform general labouring tasks (wheelbarrow, jackhammer, shovel, drill, broom, etc.)
- Move and reinstate site temporary fencing as required
- Provide leadership support when the Site Manager is busy, ensuring smooth workflow and safety on site

What We’re Looking For
- Driver’s Licence
- Previous labouring/construction experience (leading hand experience highly regarded)
- Forklift Licence
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative
- Ability to lead by example and support site operations
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work

Preferred Hours
Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm
