Here's a recent job we have completed at the Menzies Quality Inn Ballarat. We got given the opportunity to come up with a way to provide more parking for guest and update the garden areas with a lower maintenance classy look.
This was a challenging job as we had to contend with many services under the ground level and make sure we didn't interfere with the running of the hotel. We started by removing the existing retaining wall. We then had to remove 300m3 of fill whilst having to contend with the underground services and removal of footings from an old building. After this we began installing the new 70 Metres worth of charcoal smooth faced concrete retaining walls. Once this was completed we provided new drainage for both car parks and placed 170m2 of charcoal concrete pavement down to allow a longer life then the existing asphalt parking around the motel. We then gave the job its finishing touches by planting out the garden beds in beautiful low maintenance plant varieties and some black mulch.

What a lovely job this was to complete for a great group of people and an honour to get to showcase some of our work to the public and guest of the motel!

With summer fast approaching and this beautiful warm weather starting to appear more frequently it is getting to our busy time of year at R & J Davey. Here is a recent job we completed at Chris & Elisa's so they can enjoy every minute of those nice days in the comfort of there own yard. All work was carried out by the R & J Davey team and it was an absolute privilege to give this beautiful house's exterior a well deserved makeover.
