A single pressure reading cannot tell you whether the pressure is falling. A slow leak only shows up as a fall over time.

To leak test a pipeline section or a pressurised system, you need the pressure record: how far the pressure has fallen, and how quickly.

LEO Ultimate has dedicated Leak and Rate measuring modes for this. They are built to analyse static pressure states and dynamic pressure trends, including leak tests. With the data logger running, it records pressure and temperature at up to 50 readings per second and stores up to 800,000 readings.

Temperature is logged alongside pressure, so you can check whether a change follows the temperature or the leak. You can read the data out over Bluetooth to a phone before you leave site.

If you are planning leak tests on water or wastewater assets, have a chat with us about your application.

One hour. 16 bar. And a record that has to stand up afterwards.

A new water pipeline has a pressure of 16 bar for one hour. If the pressure changes significantly, there could be a leak or blockage, which can be fixed while the pipeline is still in installation.

Pressure is also influenced by temperature, so the test needs an instrument that shows the pressure on site, compensates for temperature and keeps a record.

In the case study, a construction services company used a LEO Record for this. LEO Ultimate is also in our LEO range.

Pressure gets measured in many places across a water network: reservoirs, pump stations, boosters and points throughout the reticulation.

Each site has its own conditions, its own access and its own history of readings, so no single method fits them all. Which of the three is it for you? Tell us in the comments.

Whichever of the three it is, the starting point is the same: the right measurement method for each site. Our application engineers can help you define the project scope, select the equipment and support the integration. Have a chat with us about your application: https://zurl.co/P8iqQ

Manual pressure checks miss slow leaks in distributed water networks for a simple reason: Each check records one moment at one point.

This causes three problems.

1. Pressure changes with demand through the day, so a reading at 6 am and a reading at 2 pm cannot be compared directly.
2. A small fall from a leak can sit inside that normal variation.
3. A slow leak lowers the pressure gradually. Between two site visits, the change is often too small to stand out.

Short events, such as a brief dip or surge, can start and finish between visits, so a manual log never sees them.

A pressure logger addresses the sampling problem by recording at a set interval while nobody is on site.

LEO Ultimate stores up to 800,000 readings, which is about 4.5 hours at its fastest rate of 50 readings per second and much longer at slower intervals.

You can also set it to start and stop at a defined time.

A portable logger covers one location for a test period.

For continuous monitoring across many sites, you need fixed instruments, and our engineers can help you decide which points justify them.

Meet the new LEO Ultimate.

Up to 0.01 %FS accuracy. Pressure and temperature. Five measuring modes. 800,000 readings in memory.

All of this, in one gauge. Switch between absolute and relative pressure using the built-in barometer, with no extra sensor.

Log pressure and temperature at up to 50 readings per second, then read the data out to your phone over Bluetooth or to your PC over USB-C. Choose Standard, Peak, Leak, Rate or Alarm mode for the job.

It runs on two AA lithium batteries for more than 3,500 hours at default settings and has IP67 protection.

Our application engineers can help you choose the range, connection and accuracy option. If you are choosing a reference gauge, have a chat with us about your application.

When was your accelerometer last calibrated, and would the data it produced yesterday survive an audit?

Sensitivity shifts with time, temperature cycles, overloads and rough handling, and the sensor keeps producing data the whole time. Nothing looks wrong until a test result is challenged and there is no calibration record to stand behind it.

That is why accelerometer calibration was the demonstration that drew the most interest at our Internoise 2026 stand last week. A portable vibration calibrator like the CV-10 we had on the table does one job: it drives the sensor at a known vibration level and compares its output against a built-in reference transducer. You can verify sensitivity on site before a test campaign, rather than discover drift after one.

If your accelerometers have been in service longer than anyone can remember, have a chat with us about your application: https://zurl.co/TVdcx

Internoise 2026 in Adelaide has wrapped up.

Our product specialist and field sales engineer were on the stand through the event with vibration sensors, acoustic measurement systems, shakers and vibration calibration systems.

Our highlight was the demonstration of how to calibrate accelerometers. Interest grew as the event went on, with visitors wanting to see how an accelerometer is verified against a reference transducer, and the conversation kept returning to the same question: when was the sensor last calibrated, and what does that mean for every test result it has produced since.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by. If we did not get to your question on the day, have a chat with us about your application: https://zurl.co/ihl4U
