Hardman Bros. Engineering Gear Cutting, CNC Machining, Broaching, Wirecutting & Grinding Hardman Bros is a family owned Australian gear manufacturing and general engineering company.

Founded in Oakleigh, Victoria by brothers David and Ronald Hardman in 1953, the business has grown to be a significant manufacturer in the engineering industry, with over 5,000 sq metres of floor space and some of the largest and most technologically advanced equipment available. Hardman Bros has established a reputation not only as a quality supplier of gears and gear boxes, but as a flexible, innovative and skilled manufacturer of general engineering components of varying complexities and size.

We thrive on challenges at Hardmans! 🕒 Our client had a tight deadline, giving us just 3 days from material delivery to complete this critical task. We needed to reverse engineer the pinion gear from the provided mating part, ensuring precise measurements and compatibility.

Our Niles Grinding machine was used to meticulously grind the gear teeth from solid materials. This 380kg component required 26 hours of work, including overnight to meet our customer's tight deadline.
