Applications close on 30 April for Pacific Blue’s Haughton Sustainable Communities Fund with up to $10,000 available!

We're looking for local group in the Burdekin wanting to make a difference. Our Haughton Sustainable Communities Fund has grants of up to $10,000 available to support community, education and sustainability projects across the region.

Since 2019, the Fund has invested over $500,000 into local initiatives, and we’re excited to support even more in 2026.

[Applications now closed] Do you know a local group in the Burdekin making a difference?

Pacific Blue’s Haughton Sustainable Communities Fund is now open, with grants of up to $10,000 available to support community, education and sustainability projects across the region.

Pacific Blue’s Codrington Wind Farm is one of Australia’s first wind farms - and it will soon be among the first to begin decommissioning in 2027. As we plan for this next chapter, we’d love to hear from the local South-West community who’ve been part of its story for over 25-years!

Join the Pacific Blue team for a cuppa, a bite to eat, and a friendly chat.

Where: Port Fairy Bowling Club.
When: Drop into one of our two sessions on Monday 9 December 2025:
- Early Afternoon from 2-4pm, or
- Dusk (after work) between 5-7pm

Come along to the Taralga Sports Club from 6:00pm on Monday 22 September for a community film and pizza night!

🍕 Complimentary pizzas provided by Pacific Blue to thank you for your patience during the TV reception outage🍕

Two films on offer:
A Minecraft Movie (for the kids)
Jerry and Marge Go Large (for the adults)

Films will run until around 8:30–9:00pm.

Come along for free pizza, a laugh, and a film, while Pacific Blue completes the upgrades that we believe will deliver the long-term TV reception Taralga deserves.

Planned Outage for Taralga’s Television Retransmitter Upgrade
Pacific Blue recognises the disruption to television reception in Taralga and the inconvenience this has caused.

To complete necessary upgrades, our contractor will undertake works at the Taralga retransmission tower from:

• 10.00am Monday 22 September 2025
• through to 5.00pm Tuesday 23 September 2025
During this period, no television channels will be retransmitted from the tower.

We believe that this upgrade will assist in helping us to provide the long-term, stable reception that the Taralga community deserves.

Planned Outage for Taralga’s Television Retransmitter Upgrade

Pacific Blue recognises the disruption to television reception in Taralga and the inconvenience this has caused.

Community Meeting
