The raw side of our journey so far.

Our story for MSK began almost three years ago when we took the leap into business together. We remember the nerves and uncertainty of those early days, wondering whether we would even make it through our first 12 months.

What makes this journey even more special is that Mat’s story began right here in this very workshop, back when it was known as DOW Engineering. This is where he completed his apprenticeship and was involved with Dow Engineering for 11 years, during this time he learned his trade and built the foundations for his career. After completing his apprenticeship, Mat strengthened his skills and experience by working with other businesses before eventually returning to where it all began. It’s funny how life can bring you back to the place where your journey started—only this time, we’re building something of our own within these same walls.

For Stacey, this journey was a completely new challenge. Coming from a very different background in retail management workforce, and stepping into engineering meant learning an entirely new trade, as well as a whole new administrative world. It was fascinating, challenging and certainly quite a different path, but it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Learning how the industry works, understanding the day-to-day operations and growing alongside the business has made this journey even more meaningful.

Starting and running a business together has helped us grow, not only as business owners but also as people. We’ve learned to adapt through the many crossroads, hurdles and sacrifices that come with building a business.

We weren’t sure how working together all day would work, but it has only made us stronger. We’ve become a truly united front, always striving for the best outcomes for our clients, our employees and the future of MSK Engineering.

We couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come, the team we’ve built and everything we’ve achieved together.

We’re incredibly excited about where we’re heading next and everyone that’s involved with us. 🙌🏼

Another custom fabrication completed! 👏

We recently fabricated these heavy-duty wash bay doors for one of our valued concrete customers. Built tough and made to handle the demands of a busy worksite, they’re another great example of a practical solution designed specifically for our customer’s needs.
