R, You’ve brought such a steady, capable presence to everything you do, always handling things with ease and a quiet confidence we’ve all come to rely on.

The is a venue designed for everyone - home to Brisbane’s best beer garden, sports bar, restaurant, gaming room, function spaces, kids’ playground, and new rooftop deck.

Dating back to 1889, the heritage-listed hotel’s original character has been carefully honoured. The restoration of original brickwork and timber details deliver a well-considered balance between preservation and renewal.

On Saturday night at the 2025 Brisbane Master Builders Housing & Construction Awards, MCD Construction took home the prestigious ‘House of the Year’ award for Birdwood House in Toowong.

The judges commended our team's outstanding work, stating that only a handful of builders in Brisbane possess the expertise to handle projects of such complexity. This project highlights MCD’s ongoing focus on quality over two decades.

A huge congratulations to our amazing team and expert contractors who worked on this project.

This striking three-level residence seamlessly blends off-form concrete, expansive glass, and lush cascading gardens, creating an architectural statement that is as bold as it is harmonious. Designed to embrace its stunning oceanfront surroundings, Kanagawa is a testament to the power of contemporary design and natural beauty working in perfect unison.
At its heart lies a spectacular double-height fire pit area, crowned by an oculus that floods the space with natural light, infusing warmth and balance into every corner. Suspended timber staircases elegantly connect each level, while the first-floor living space opens through stacking glass doors to uninterrupted ocean views and a breathtaking suspended pool—an awe-inspiring touch of luxury.
