Another 2000kg custom rebuild for yet another Fisher, (a 580 this time)
Awesome boats that are supplied with rubbish trailers as usual, the 4th Sea-Link trailer we've scrapped this year...
Complete redesign, eliminating the heavy & rust prone suspension subframe, using adjustable walking beams and bolt on alloy guards.

Beefed up drawbar-125x75x4mm, and heavier walled roller arms all in 100% Aussie made steel. Properly vented & drilled for complete internal galvanising, easy flushing and draining then every component is locally hot dip galvanised and assembled with every nut & bolt replaced.

New hubs, bearings, total brake system replacement LED lights & professional marine wiring complete the package. All this for around $3300 with our 5 year corrosion warranty, about a third of the cost of the original trailer, and made right here in Cairns!

Literally a trailer load of trailers (1300kg worth) off to the metal recyclers. 6 Dunbiers, 3 Brookers, 4 other Telwater brands (Quintrex Stacer etc) and 3 SeaLink/Tinkas as well. Oldest of the lot was a 2000 Tinka, the worst was a 2010 Dunbier (7 years old and beyond repair!) Think carefully before purchasing a mass produced branded trailer, trust me, they don't build them like they used to, but luckily we do. Built locally from Australian steel by local tradesmen, a small business that takes pride in building quality products that are made to last with a 5 year corrosion warranty.

Another big couple of weeks, a super duty off-roader for a 4.2 tinny with full mesh floor, a 2000kg tandem multi roller and the finishing touches and stress testing of our new 6.1m deck (8.6m x 2.45overall) car trailer/trailer trailer 😂 Proving itself, carrying this 7.6m boat trailer frame to the galvanisers with ease.

Another successful rebuild, on time & exceeding the customer's expectations! Full frame & suspension replacement, from a multi roller setup that just didn't work, to our custom built skids with bushed roller system has turned this trailer into a true "drive on/off" unit, without finicky rocker arms and rust prone horizontal X members.
