Angus Australia, Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association, and Teys Australia are calling for applications for the 2026 Northern Beef Leadership Initiative. This exclusive, fully hosted supply chain tour runs October 26-30 in Queensland, bringing together 12 young beef professionals aged 18-40 for an immersive behind-the-scenes industry experience.

The ICMJ countdown is on! ⏳

Team Teys is proud to be continuing our partnership and on the ground support of the ICMJ National Conference, returning to Wagga Wagga from 30 June – 4 July 2026.

With just under a month to go, it’s shaping up to be another standout week for students and young professionals building their careers in the red meat industry.

From hands-on judging and practical workshops to industry speakers and the Careers Expo, ICMJ offers a unique opportunity to develop real-world skills, build networks and explore the breadth of careers across our supply chain.

The Teys team in Wagga is looking forward to welcoming participants on site, where we’ll proudly host the carcase competition and showcase the passion and expertise that underpins what we do every day.

We’re also thrilled to again collaborate with CSU, MLA, AMPC and ICMJ teams to bring the best of our industry to the next generation.

There’s a bright future ahead for our industry—and programs like ICMJ are helping develop the people who will lead it.

Back for Beef 2027 — we’ll see you in Rocky

Producer Connections – Tamworth

Another great forum this year from North West Local Land Services, held in mid May, for the region’s local cattle producers.

With more than 100 attendees, there were plenty of great conversations and a real appetite for connection with all in attendance on the day. Teys was grateful for the opportunity to be involved and partner for the event, and our own Ethan Mooney was one of a number of industry speakers who presented on the day — creating valuable discussion and giving producers direct engagement across the supply chain.

These events are all about sharing, listening and learning with the value really going both ways.

Thanks to the North West LLS team for putting on a fantastic event — and glad to hear the steaks were well received too!

Teys is proud to once again partner with the Southern Grassfed Carcase Classic, celebrating great grassfed beef and the producers who are so passionate about cattle production. Congratulations to Scott and Julie Clarke from Woomera Homestead in SA, taking out both Grand Champion and Reserve - what a rare and great result - and a big well done to all entrants and everyone involved in making the event such a success.

Great to see another enthusiastic group through for the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association Margin and People Management (MPM) Program on the ground at Teys, with the final feedlot tour hosted at our expanded Jindalee Feedlot in NSW.

Thanks to Shane Bullock, our General Manager of the Jindalee Feedlot, and the entire Teys team for generously sharing their knowledge, passion and experience with the group.

We’re always proud to showcase this special place—and the people who make Jindalee such a strong example of modern feedlot operations.

ICMJ Northern 2026 may have wrapped up in Rockhampton, but the energy, talent and opportunity on show are just getting started. As proud Principal Partner, Teys backs events like ICMJ because investing in people — especially the next generation — is critical to the future of Aussie beef.
