Producer Connections – Tamworth

Another great forum this year from North West Local Land Services, held in mid May, for the region’s local cattle producers.

With more than 100 attendees, there were plenty of great conversations and a real appetite for connection with all in attendance on the day. Teys was grateful for the opportunity to be involved and partner for the event, and our own Ethan Mooney was one of a number of industry speakers who presented on the day — creating valuable discussion and giving producers direct engagement across the supply chain.

These events are all about sharing, listening and learning with the value really going both ways.

Thanks to the North West LLS team for putting on a fantastic event — and glad to hear the steaks were well received too!

Congratulations to Scott and Julie Clarke from Woomera Homestead in SA, taking out both Grand Champion and Reserve - what a rare and great result - and a big well done to all entrants and everyone involved in making the event such a success.

Great to see another enthusiastic group through for the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association Margin and People Management (MPM) Program on the ground at Teys, with the final feedlot tour hosted at our expanded Jindalee Feedlot in NSW.

Thanks to Shane Bullock, our General Manager of the Jindalee Feedlot, and the entire Teys team for generously sharing their knowledge, passion and experience with the group.

We’re always proud to showcase this special place—and the people who make Jindalee such a strong example of modern feedlot operations.

ICMJ might be over, but beef careers are warming up! 👏

ICMJ Northern 2026 may have wrapped up in Rockhampton, but the energy, talent and opportunity on show are just getting started. As proud Principal Partner, Teys backs events like ICMJ because investing in people — especially the next generation — is critical to the future of Aussie beef.

Huge thanks to our fellow major partners — Meat & Livestock Australia, Australian Meat Processor Corporation and CQUniversity Australia — and the Australian ICMJ Committee for the commitment and collaboration that bring this event to life year after year, and a big shout‑out to the Teys team on the ground in Rocky who proudly represented our business.

Congratulations to all the meat judging competition winners — as always, hotly contested and showcasing some outstanding young talent.

Events like ICMJ Northern remind us why investing in the next generation of industry leaders matters so much. From graduates and apprentices to school leavers and gap‑year starters, the beef industry offers real careers, real pathways and opportunities that can grow with you.
