Rod and Lisa Edwards' passion for Lake Eildon started way back in the 80's. After spending nearly every weekend at Eildon up on their houseboat, they decided a was the way to go so they sold their house in the suburbs, move up here permanently in 2004 and have not looked back! The Lake has provided an amazing backyard for their 4 children to grow up on and now their grandchildren are a

ll enjoying what the Lake has to offer. Rod and Lisa pride themselves on their no nonsense approach to Houseboats. They have a long standing reputation for always being honest and upfront, their new boat builds have an amazing level of care & detail that is often overlooked by others and any maintenance or repairs they carry out are always to an over and above standard. Scam before and after ✨

We had the pleasure of re cladding Scam, manufacturing and installing a new electric gang plank, rear deck extension and a new hydraulic duckboard.

We’ve also got the coolest day boat on the lake back in our yard for some upgrades! It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 5 years since we built this little beauty 💎

We took advantage of the beautiful weather this week and re-cladded Scam! ☀️Here’s a photo of the finished product, a photo during & a photo of the original cladding. The protective wrap will be peeled off shortly revealing its new look 💎

Scam has had its rear deck extension steel work finished & painted and is now ready for its new hydraulic duckboard.

The superboat hardtop is fully welded off and all welds have been painted to ensure longevity ✔️

Sirocco has had its bow thruster cut in, access hatch cut in and has been sanded and painted. It’s looking clean and tidy and is ready for the thruster itself to be installed. It has also had its ski deck built and the decking is underway.

Yard update:

The hardtop for the Superboat in the yard is underway.

Scam has had its rusting floor beams on the rear deck cut out and removed. Ready for a new steel subfloor/rear deck extension. She is also getting upgraded with a new hydraulic duckboard and electric gangplank!

The gangplanks & gangplank cradles for the two superboats & scam have all been made ⚡️

Ali-Oop has been sandblasted and painted ⚓️

It’s been a very busy couple months here at Edwards Built. We have had the engines installed, Gen/Stern thruster pod made & mounted and lots of installs going on inside the new Superboat in the yard including all tanks, stone, cabinetry, tv’s etc.

The Superboat frame in the factory is primed and looking great. Not too far away from handover for the owner to complete 🔨

Bollinger is receiving a complete strip down and major renovation. We’ve removed everything that isn’t staying in prep for complete overhaul! This one’s going to be fun 🔥

Big thanks to for transforming the rest of the yard into a more usable area for us to store and work on all your pride and joys. Looks unreal 👌🏻

More glass going onto the Superboat, it’s looking sharp 🔥

The lock up build in the shed is coming along nicely with the roof fibreglassed, mid level decks fibreglassed and the fascias underway 🔨

There’s a few things we love here at Edwards Built, building the best quality houseboats possible, going fast and some friendly competition!

It’s no surprise that a bit of go karting was in order before a nice pub lunch to celebrate all the hard work the team in has put in this year!

We’re ever so grateful for our loyal customers, entrusting our team to take care of your pride and joys.

We’re also extremely grateful for our hard working team that put in the effort in every facet of their job, love your work fellas 👏

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Last night at approximately 2:00am a large man in a red suit was seen gaining access to our factory and stealing the keys to our scissor lift!

We are currently in negotiations with him to surrender and come down but he is vowing to stay up until Christmas is over or the wind takes him away.

Stay vigilant and lock up your scissor lift keys!
