Rod and Lisa Edwards' passion for Lake Eildon started way back in the 80's. After spending nearly every weekend at Eildon up on their houseboat, they decided a was the way to go so they sold their house in the suburbs, move up here permanently in 2004 and have not looked back! The Lake has provided an amazing backyard for their 4 children to grow up on and now their grandchildren are a

ll enjoying what the Lake has to offer. Rod and Lisa pride themselves on their no nonsense approach to Houseboats. They have a long standing reputation for always being honest and upfront, their new boat builds have an amazing level of care & detail that is often overlooked by others and any maintenance or repairs they carry out are always to an over and above standard. The hydraulic side ski decks are mounted on the Superboat 🔥

We had a visit from some of the Yea High School students today. It’s great to see the younger generation getting some insight into how these boats are built and the opportunities available within the houseboat industry.

Yard update:

This week saw Impulses targa bar craned into position, it’s looking sharp and will really tie in when the upstairs rails are claded 🔥🔥

We also been busy working on the Superboat, having made all the hydraulic side ski deck components & installing the slides. We’ve also laid the aluminium decking on the newly built ski decks & made the targa legs which look a million bucks now they’re painted black 🖤

Bollingers ski decks have had the decking laid and is receiving the first coat of stain as we speak.

The skids have been made and installed and the superboat lock up.

This week saw the aluminium decking get laid on the Super Boat lower storey, the four independent hydraulic ski decks made and the actuators mounted on all external hatches for automated opening.

The team has also built the other two ski decks for the Super Boat frame, completed the Targa for impulse and it is now ready for install next week!

Bollinger’s ski decks are also underway 🔨

Yard update:

The superboat had all the intricate duckboard folding mechanism & slider boxes etc made last week, so this week we had the fun part of installing it all! It’s getting even larger 💪🏻

Bollingers had its front and rear deck completed & the new front and rear doors installed.

The targa bar for Impulse has been filled, sanded and fibreglassed.

Last week we headed down to the unveiling of Eildon’s newest tourist attraction, Alister the big King Parrot. We’re proud to sponsor this alongside other local community groups, hats off to Eildon Events Inc. for getting this done, great initiative 👏

Yard update:

The team has been busy on Platinum, removing the damaged spa & fixing the subsequent water damage.

Impulse has had its targa bar fabricated & ply’d and it is now ready for filler & fibreglass.

The super boat has had all internal pod ladders manufactured and installed, the hydraulic duckboard is well underway with both heavy duty slides installed 👌

Bollinger has had its decking started, the rear deck is nearly done and it is looking sharp 🔥

Bad Habits has had its timber barge boards replaced as well 🔨

This week saw the hardtop craned onto the Superboat build.

The Generator/Storage pod on the Super boat has been painted, plyed and the Gen lifted into place and is ready for the mechanics & electricians.

We’ve also been busy manufacturing and installing the gangplank and cradles on both the Superboat and the lockup we’re doing!

The engine pod is built for the lockup and ready for install ⚓️

Bollinger has been internally framed and palmets installed. This boat is going to be magnificent after its transformation!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather this week and re-cladded Scam! ☀️Here’s a photo of the finished product, a photo during & a photo of the original cladding. The protective wrap will be peeled off shortly revealing its new look 💎

Scam has had its rear deck extension steel work finished & painted and is now ready for its new hydraulic duckboard.

The superboat hardtop is fully welded off and all welds have been painted to ensure longevity ✔️

Sirocco has had its bow thruster cut in, access hatch cut in and has been sanded and painted. It’s looking clean and tidy and is ready for the thruster itself to be installed. It has also had its ski deck built and the decking is underway.

Yard update:

The hardtop for the Superboat in the yard is underway.

Scam has had its rusting floor beams on the rear deck cut out and removed. Ready for a new steel subfloor/rear deck extension. She is also getting upgraded with a new hydraulic duckboard and electric gangplank!

The gangplanks & gangplank cradles for the two superboats & scam have all been made ⚡️

Ali-Oop has been sandblasted and painted ⚓️
