Harvest has a habit of going from “not far away” to very bloody busy pretty quickly.

Now’s a good time to make sure you know your receival options, who to call and where your grain can go before the trucks start rolling.

With Agri Storage sites across the region — including our new Yamala site near Emerald — our team is getting ready for the season ahead.

If you’ve got questions about receivals, storage or what we’ll be taking this harvest, give the team a call.

It’s a much easier conversation to have now than from the driver’s seat of a loaded truck

📍 IOR Yamala is open and perfectly placed for the Central Queensland grain run.

Our latest diesel stop sits on the Capricorn Highway, close to GrainCorp's Yamala receival site, giving operators a convenient place to refuel right after offloading. High-flow diesel, AdBlue® and heavy-vehicle access, available 24/7 and paid through the IOR Tag or Fuelcharge app.

For growers and carriers moving grain through the region this harvest, it's a prime position to keep the wheels turning.

Keen to add Yamala to your route? Call 1300 457 467 or speak to your account manager.

Congratulations to Jason Hoolihan on his appointment as the incoming CEO of Central Highlands Regional Council.

It’s great to see someone with such strong local knowledge stepping into the role. Jason already has a good understanding of the history and vision for CQ Inland Port and the broader Yamala Enterprise Area, and we’re looking forward to continuing to work with him and the Council team to progress economic development in the region.

Congratulations Jason, and all the best for this next chapter!

$10 billion in fuel infrastructure. But will it reach regional Australia?
The Commonwealth has announced a major expansion of Australia's fuel storage and supply infrastructure, a $10 billion program aimed at increasing diesel reserves, strengthening import resilience and improving supply chain continuity.

On the surface, that's a significant commitment.
But ALRTA has one critical question: how much of this investment will actually reach regional Australia?
Because fuel security means very little if diesel cannot get to the operators who move Australia's food and agricultural supply chains.
Livestock and rural transport is not just another freight category.

If diesel doesn't reach regional operators when and where it's needed, the impacts are immediate:
- Animal welfare
- Food production
- Feed supply
- Grain movement
- Regional communities

ALRTA has already approached Government seeking clarification on how much of this additional storage capacity will be located in regional areas, particularly those critical to agricultural production and livestock freight movements.
We will keep pushing until we get a clear answer.
Because the freight task doesn't start at a port or a distribution centre. It starts on farms, feedlots, saleyards and local roads across regional Australia.
That's where the investment needs to land.
