After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to close Sanctus Building Services. This has been a hard decision to come to, but feel it's for the best. We want to thank our team for all the hard work over the past 6 years! We have thoroughly enjoyed working with, and meeting so many in the community. Thank you all for your support.

Testing out a new Aimwell AYO WX PAPR (powered air-purifying respirator) for use at work and possibly for our team. These units aren't the cheapest thing around but offer better protection than regular P2 maskes when working with fine dust and fumes, and are reasonably user friendly given a possible alternate is a full face mask with a hose running from a belt pack. We'll see how it goes.

We completed our initial setout for a new project up towards Ravensbourne for an international customer. This is a sneak peak at an amazing location with 180 degree views up and down the valley below. Must say that we are privileged to be able to work in this amazing country with spectacular scenery...one of the reasons I entered the building industry. What do you think..?

Received some new samples from Wood Evo (woodevo.com.au) The top row are a premium capped composite with a 25 year warranty and the bottomow row are a capped foamed-pvc product with a 30 year warranty. This type of product is particularly great if you have exposed decks, are looking for something a little different, or prefer a mantanence free deck (that's right, no stripping back, no oiling, sealing, sanding), and as you can see they are available in a wide range of colours. They can also be laid to various patterns for further personalisation. If you are interested in having a deck redone or thinking about a new one please get in touch with our team on 0431458659 or via our website at buildwithsanctus.com.au
Hope you guys have a great day.

Ryan completed the Baytec WPA product installation certification yesterday. Bayset is a construction products supplier, including WPA waterproofing products, and conducts regular training to ensure trades are able to correctly determine the required products and techniques to suit a variety of applications. Here at Sanctus, we are constantly seeking to upskill, learn and develop best practice to ensure our clients get the best results and quality...especially with the detail you can't see, so that what you do see stays looking great and provides years of service. And in case you didn't know, we are QBCC licenced waterproofers and ensure all our wet area construction is completed with fastidious detail and care. FYI - Waterproofing failures and leaks account for over 40% of building defects in construction, so it is highly important that this is a priority and not just a tick box item. In the past number of years, we have been contacted by people with failed bathrooms, with serve mould growth and floor damage, and have had to rebuild bathrooms as new as 5 years old. Please ensure your builder or trades are up to date, show particular care, and can provide a form 43 aspect certificate, if ever getting any wet area work completed so you don't end up with a rebuild bill or a risk to health from mould spores, especially to people who may struggle from asthma. Replacement of chamfer boards out at Linville. New ones pictured. Unfortunately the owners had to have boards replaced after only a few years as the previous "builder" hadn't properly prepped the boards and had also used a cheap product that ended up rotting through in a number of places. Cheaper is generally not better...or even good. This also has to be the most nails I've ever seen in the end of a weatherboard (one of the original 100 year old boards)...or any piece of timber come to think of it. Someone's had a few goes...that's 12 nails in a chamfer board. Sam, our second year apprentice, and Daniel, our fourth year apprentice also knocked out a window hood to suit existing...great work.

A recent enclosed shower conversion for a lovely local couple to replace a shower-over-bath setup to allow for easier access and an easy clean surface. If you're interested in making modifications, alterations, or extensions to your home, please contact our team. We'd also like to thank the community for their support of our services...after a busy 2024, we have been inundated with enquiries since New Years and thank you for your patience if you have contacted us or sent in a request. We look forward to a great year and the opportunities to work with great clients.
