Project Completion: Upper South Creek pipeline.

In 2023 John Holland awarded Locate and Map the Utility Locating and Survey package for the 42km long pipeline package associated with the Upper South Creek project.

In early 2025 Locate and Map finished up on the project as the last of the field work was completed.

L&M played a pivotal role in the project team with some of the key responsibilities being.
-Development of and training of contractors on the implementation of the dig permit.
-Utility data management
-Setout and WAE surveys on the newly constructed pipeline.
-Potholing of existing services crossing the alignment.
-Service locating of all services in the road corridor.
-Management of the GIS data.
-RFI redesigns.

With 42km of new pipe installed and 2000+ existing services crossed Locate and Map's recipe for success remains the same as on all of our projects, Locate, Survey, Setout, Work as ex, processing, drafting and delivery is all conducted by the one person.

Locate and Map look forward to working with John Holland in the future.

We nearly had a coronary when we saw this today, lucky we were already at a hospital.

Thanks to health infrastructure for trusting the L&M team with the modelling of their existing utilities.

Locate & Map were busy in a large scale industrial yard recently. As all jobs do this one threw a few curve balls at the team, the pits were too large to lever or pry out with traditional lifters due to how thick the concrete was, so the team improvised and adapted an engine crane that one of the crew had. We were also required to do a confined space entry into an onsite detention tank to map its extremities. No two days are ever the same.

While at Taronga Zoo today with my family I spotted a few of the Locate and Map markings in the wild, Taronga has been a great client of ours for a number of years now, we're grateful to be a part of the always interesting projects at the zoo.
