If any newcomers are wondering for the plug weld about 1 inch down from the end of the chromemoly tube, yes it's to hold the adapter in POSITION, and then fully TIG welded in both left hand and right hand styles. It's common practice rather than threading a heavy walled seamless tube. The adapter goes in about 1&1/2 inches into the chrome moly tube and if you were to weld it in only around the edge of the tube, without that plug weld, the constant pressure and all side loads etc, on the inside part of the threaded adapter, would eventually crack the weld in no time. That plug weld fills that small small slide in gap and keeps the adapter stable. So 1&1/4 inch chrome moly tube with a TiG welded adapter on one end, and in this case, for a cortina, a bushed ring on the other. Adjustable rear trailing arms. Available for any car, any length. In theory you want 5-10mm of exposed thread after nut and rod end is screwed in and adjusted.
