Great to be invited back onto Sky News Australia just a few weeks after the last interview with Edward Boyd . It reflects the growing interest in Janus Electric (ASX:JNS) as we continue delivering milestones and executing on our global growth strategy.
It's been a huge week.
We've announced a $45 million agreement covering 67 conversion kits for four US customers, taking total orders this week to almost 100 across trucks, batteries and charging infrastructure for fleet operators around the Port of Los Angeles.
These aren't just orders. They're proof that the market is moving, and that customers are looking for practical, commercially viable pathways to electrification.
Our swappable battery platform allows fleets to retain proven truck platforms while reducing emissions, lowering operating costs and eliminating the downtime associated with conventional charging. It's a model that's gaining real traction.
The momentum in North America continues to accelerate. Our first trucks are being converted in California, battery testing is underway in Canada, and we're scaling our Central Coast manufacturing facility, north of Sydney, towards a production capacity of 50 conversion kits per month by Christmas to support growing demand.
Just as importantly, Australia remains the centre of our innovation. Our drivetrain technology, engineering and core manufacturing capability are being built here, while our international expansion strategy allows us to scale globally through local manufacturing partnerships as demand grows.
We're still only scratching the surface of what's possible.
The transition to electric heavy transport is well underway, and Janus is building far more than electric trucks. We're building the battery swapping, energy and technology ecosystem that will help drive the industry's future.
A huge thank you to our customers, partners, shareholders and the incredible Janus team. The momentum we're seeing today is the result of an enormous amount of hard work, and we're only just getting started.
