Thrilled to be working with Mick & Joe Brussese at Belgrave Cartel again, this time giving their Manly Wharf café a fresh new look.

This project was all about the details. From the finishes and joinery through to the finer elements that bring the space together, every detail mattered.

Big shout out to Benny Hamilton for pulling together the epic video content and capturing the project so bloody well. 👊

Great clients, great crew, great little project.

In 2010, Warrane transformed The Steyne Hotel, Manly, for the Laundy Hotels team.

The brief: respect the history, bring in a new generation.

The result: Moonshine Live Music (launching pad for acts like Winston Surfshirt) and Blacket’s Whisky Bar — still thriving today.

Heritage meets reinvention. This is what delivering visions looks like.

The Nelson Hotel is one of Bondi Junction’s most iconic Australian pubs, with a long-standing reputation as a local favourite. Warrane Building Co was engaged to reimagine the venue while preserving the character and heritage that has made it a landmark within the community.

Our team delivered a complete design and refurbishment of the ground floor, transforming the public bar, beer garden and bistro into a contemporary hospitality destination that respects the building’s classic Australian pub identity. Careful attention was given to retaining and enhancing the venue’s heritage features while introducing modern functionality, improved patron flow and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Building on the success of the ground floor refurbishment, Warrane also designed and delivered the Level 1 functions bar, creating a premium event space complete with bespoke furniture selections, outdoor alfresco areas and custom-designed signage that complements the venue’s timeless aesthetic.

The Nelson Hotel is a project we are incredibly proud of. It demonstrates Warrane Building Co’s ability to blend thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and heritage sensitivity to deliver hospitality venues that honour their history while creating exceptional experiences for today’s patrons.

A timeless Aussie pub, reimagined.

Originally established in 1878, the Brady’s Railway Hotel has been thoughtfully transformed by Warrane, preserving its rich heritage while creating a contemporary hospitality destination for the next generation.

The redesign introduces expanded spaces, enhanced functionality, and warm, authentic interiors that celebrate the character of the traditional Australian pub while elevating the guest experience.

Honouring the past. Designing for the future.

From heritage to hospitality.

The Fire Station Hotel in Wallsend is a local landmark with a history dating back to 1875, when it first opened as the Great Northern Hotel, long before the fire station that later inspired its name.

At Warrane, our approach to this project was about respecting the legacy of the building while evolving it for contemporary hospitality. Through careful design, construction, and fit-out, the revitalised spaces support the way modern venues operate, creating welcoming environments for dining, social gatherings, and community connection.
Projects like this demonstrate how thoughtful intervention can preserve character while unlocking new life for historic venues.

Reserve Cut Steakhouse is a contemporary concept design, an expression of New York’s culinary heritage, where tradition, precision, and atmosphere converge.

Rooted in over 200 years of family legacy, the concept balances strength and refinement through a modern serif identity, rich tonal palettes, and a bold yet inviting visual language.

Developed by Warrane in close collaboration with Stickman Tribe, the concept reflects the long-standing relationship between Warrane Director Joe Stephen and Stickman Tribe Director Marcos Kane, a partnership built on trust, shared vision, and a deep understanding of hospitality design. That alignment is evident in every layer of the proposal.

Envisioned within Conrad Hilton Abu Dhabi, the design brings th energy of New York to life through considered planning and immersive detail.

From a heritage-inspired wine cellar to the precision of a theatrical meat locker, every element was carefully resolved.
Premium USDA cuts, including olive-fed Wagyu, were imagined to be prepared over charcoal-fired grills, delivering depth, flavour, and theatre in equal measure.

This is more than a steakhouse, it’s a concept experience where design, dining, and atmosphere come together to redefine modern luxury.
