The Deakin Engineering Society was established in 1994 by students to foster community amongst Engineering students at Deakin Waurn Ponds.

Since then, DES has been run by students, for students and aims to foster an inclusive social culture at Deakin.

You’re in luck! We’re officially opening applications for a Deakin Engineering Society Subcommittee!   👔 What is the subcommittee? The DES Subcommittee is designed to enable motivated members to gain hands-on experience running a university club, contribute to the DES community, and help bring more events to life.   As a subcommittee member, you could be involved in: ❗️Suggesting ideas for events and engagement initiatives ❗️Running events on the day (ushering, registering attendees, etc.) ❗️Filming social media content ❗️Editing and creating social media content ❗️Outreach to students across campus   And there may even be some exclusive perks in it for subcommittee members!
