Toasting to the success of The Valley Inn Geelong🥂

Last Friday night we celebrated the opening of the Valley Inn’s new rooftop area! The space offers an adaptive indoor/outdoor design creating a multi-use function area, restaurant and bar.

Tony Eastmure Co-owner and General Manager of The Valley Inn Hotel and Managing Director of Lyons Construction, Steve Lyons also made sure to quality test what’s on tap at the new rooftop bar! 👀

OFFICIAL OPENING 🎉

We recently attended the offical opening of the new Resource Centre, Concordia, at Geelong Lutheran College, Armstrong Creek !

The two-story building features dedicated Primary and Secondary library and discovery spaces, two new classrooms and staff facilities.

It was a pleasure to work collaboratively on delivering this wonderful project with Smith & Tracey Architects and Geelong Lutheran College at their Armstrong Creek Campus. We thank our subcontractors and suppliers for their contribution!

We are pleased to share the recently completed Junior School and ELC at the Corio Campus for Geelong Grammar School. This marks a major change for the school to shift Bostock House from Newtown after 28 years. Facilitating the integration of all year levels at the one Campus has many educational and social benefits.

Also known as The Greenhouse the building redefines learning by blending modern spaces with the natural landscape. Built to the highest standards this $20m to $25m project showcases our quality craftsmanship with the use of environmental and durable materials. Featuring open breezeways, natural light classrooms, library, staff spaces and indoor-outdoor flow to encourage outdoor engagement and environmental integration.

We were fortunate to collaborate with the Geelong Grammar School principal, council, project delivery team and the architect Architecture AND on this exceptional project.

Last month our Managing Director Steve Lyons accompanied Give Where You Live Foundation as they visited the Lazarus Community Centre, to support their funding of this crucial organisation.

Giving back to the community is of great importance here at Lyons Construction. It’s a privilege to see our support of a great organisation such as Give Where You Live Foundation, carry on to aid the Lazarus Community Centre Geelong in their vital work of providing assistance to those experiencing hardship and homelessness in Geelong.

We are honoured to be attending the Master Builders Association of Victoria’s Excellence in Construction awards tonight at the Melbourne Crown Palladium.

Lyons Construction are finalists for Regional Commercial Builder of the Year, a major award that we are proud to have been nominated for our build of The Geelong College - Belerren Centre.

We are looking forward to a great night with thanks to Master Builders Association of Victoria !

Last Friday we had the pleasure of our Geelong Grammar School site being visited by the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation representatives. Ash spoke to us about culture, land, waters, and nature, expanding our knowledge while Michael entertained us with the magnificent sounds of the didgeridoo.

They were introduced by Jarrod Love a Lyons Site Manager of proud indigenous heritage. After the smoking ceremony we enjoyed coming together for a barbecue with the whole site.

A special way for us to celebrate and pay our respects to the First Nations people during this year’s National NAIDOC week.
