On Saturday night, MPV Sandblasting & Coating Services was honoured to receive the Best in Business Award in the Supply Chain, Engineering & Manufacturing category at the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce & Industry awards!

This recognition means so much to us as we head into our 10th year of operations in 2026. It’s a proud moment that reflects the tireless work of our incredible team, who show up every day with grit, skill, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
At MPV, our mission goes beyond delivering high-quality coatings — we’re focused on upskilling our team and educating the market on what true coating standards should look like. Our industry is a critical link in the supply chain, protecting infrastructure, equipment, and assets that keep the Central Queensland region moving.

Flashback: DTE Pacific Tank Project – Full-Service Capability
Earlier this year, MPV Sandblasting & Coating Services proudly delivered a full refurbishment of a large industrial tank for DTE Pacific, showcasing our end-to-end capability across blasting, coating, and confined space support.
🛠️ Scope of Work Included:

Abrasive blasting to Class 2.5 standard
Multi-coat protective system: Zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate, polyurethane topcoat
QA documentation, DFT testing, and coating compliance
Confined space support: Hole watching and inspection assistance
Custom tank stickers designed and supplied by NEWPRINT HRG, Gladstone

New Project Kickoff!

We’re excited to be starting a fresh project this week — and we’ve stepped up our site safety and presentation with brand new bannermesh featuring safety signage, supplied by Newprint in Gladstone

This is the first time we’ve added our new bannermesh to site setups, and its already making a big difference in visibility and compliance. Big thanks to the team at Newprint for the quick turnaround and quality work!

Job Description: MPV are currently seeking multiple roles Experienced Blaster /Painters

About the Role

*Competitive Payrate for Market
* Workshop Blaster - Painter
* Onsite Blaster- Painter
* Workshop Yards Person / Trades Assistant (forklift essential)
* Opportunities available within the gladstone region - home every day

About you

Minimum 3 years Proven Sandblasting & Painting experience
Reliable and consistent with your work
Strong safety focus
A strong desire, drive, and willingness to learn
Ability to listen and follow instructions
Good communication skills
Have a drivers licence and reliable transport
Must have own accommodation


You will be a team player, who is passionate about all aspects of painting. Working with a diverse team of skilled tradespeople you will have a sound understanding of general painting and blasting works and the flexibility to undertake a variety of different tasks and scopes. You will embrace a proactive safety culture and be willing to comply with all site policies and procedures.

Drivers licence - must have
Forklift ticket - desirable
Working at heights - desirable

Crane & Do***ng Experience
