CONTRACT AWARD 🥳🥳 - The team at Oaka Constructions QLD Pty Ltd are pleased to announce the award of another project for our valued client Mount Isa City Council, this project further underpins the relationship we have with council and the wider community.

We have been fortunate enough to have worked for council throughout this calendar year and this project will see our teams continue to do great work in the area throughout 2023.

We are looking forward to getting boots on the ground and delivering this great project for the community of Mount Isa.

🤝 Contracts Awarded for Centennial Place Works 🤝

Council has agreed to award the $3.894 million contract for the site construction of the Centennial Place facility in the Mount Isa CBD, as well as a $307,250 contract for specialist shipping containers to create an “Eat Street”-like area in the facility.

Council will award the construction contract to Gladstone-based company Oaka Constructions Pty Ltd. Construction is expected to begin in December 2022 and should be completed by mid- to late 2023.

Other elements of Centennial Place will include shaded seating, a water feature, sloping grassed area, a decorative walk with information about Mount Isa’s history and cultural heritage, toilet facilities, water-play area, and plaza space.

Looks like the team and our 22 tonne excavator has their work cut out for them today.

What A View!!! our pipelines team in Moranbah are off to a good start on our 5400m raw water pipeline replacement project, today marks Day #1 of trenching using this Vermeer trenching machine which will also lay the bedding sand for the pipe to sit on, this method reduces the need for our staff to be in the trench which in turn creates a safer work environment.
