An outstanding effort from our Xtreme Engineering apprentices who competed in the 2026 WorldSkills Competition hosted by CQU Gladstone.

Our apprentices Lark Manlapaz, Jake Hosking, Zac Lanzon, and Dylan Streeter participated across both the Fabrication and Welding categories, with Scott and our Apprentice Master, Clint, supporting the team on the sidelines.

A huge congratulations to:
🥇 Lark Manlapaz – 1st place Gold in Welding
🥈 Jake Hoskings – 2nd place Silver in Welding
🥇 Jake Hoskings – 1st place Gold in Fabrication
⭐ Zac Lanzon and Dylan Streeter – an awesome effort competing in Fabrication and Welding

With Lark and Jake's incredible results in Welding and Fabrication, they have earned the opportunity to progress to the Nationals in Adelaide! They’ve also walked away with some awesome prizes to help them prepare. Safe to say they’ve got some wicked new gear to put to work.

All of our apprentices put in a great effort, producing quality work and representing XE exceptionally well. Competing at this level is a great opportunity to put their skills, knowledge and training to the test, and the results speak for themselves.

A massive well done to all the boys, and a special thank you to our Apprentice Master Clint for his ongoing mentorship and support. Great work, legends!👏⚙️

From Trades Assistant to Apprentice Boilermaker. After working hard as a Trades Assistant with the XE team, William Dwane has officially secured his Boilermaking Apprenticeship!

He’s put in the hard yards, proven himself time and time again, and shown exactly what it takes to earn this opportunity. His work ethic, attitude and commitment haven’t gone unnoticed.

We’re incredibly proud to see him take this next step with Xtreme and we know he’s going to go a long way in the trade. Congratulations Will, this is well deserved!

A big thank you also to our apprentice training provider, Busy at Work, for helping get Will officially signed up today. We’re looking forward to supporting him throughout his apprenticeship and watching him grow into his trade.

Another XE truck license ticked off! 🚛👏

Congrats to Chris on successfully obtaining his HR Truck License last week in Gladstone. A great result and a cracking drive. Well done, Chris!

Today, after a four-year stint, we said goodbye to Micheal White!!

Micheal has worked with Xtreme on and off for many years and was also one of our original apprentices. Most recently, Micheal has been an important part of our team as our Workshop Supervisor.

We’d like to thank Micheal for all his hard work, dedication and contribution to Xtreme over the years. It’s been a pleasure working with you, Micheal!

We wish Micheal and his family all the very best as they embark on their new move and adventure. We hope to see you around soon! 👨🏽‍🏭🔧✈️

The newest member of our fleet is on the move!!🏗️🏗️
Our brand new Liebherr LTR1150 is officially heading out to its first site job this week.

We are proud to be able to have this crane as a part of our fleet helping our clients to keep their project moving forward and on time.

Big thanks to all the team that helped packed down, mobilise, and assemble the crawler on site. We wouldn’t be who we are without all your hard work.

Can’t wait to see what this crane does next!!

While working onsite, Dylan identified a potential issue and raised it early, demonstrating the proactive approach to safety and quality that we value so highly at Xtreme Engineering.

With Australia's first Liebherr LTR1150 now in our fleet, our operators and crane maintenance crew are completing training and handover with Danny from Liebherr Australia to ensure they're ready to get the very best out of this impressive machine.

How cool is this? The LTR 1150 can even be operated by remote control, meaning you don't always need to be in the cab! It's just one of the many innovative features that make this crane stand out.
