This week, we welcome Jay to the team.

Jay and his family moved to Gloucester around 5 years ago.
Originally from the Dungog area, Jay successfully completed his carpentry apprenticeship through trade school and gained experience travelling the hunter practicing his trade.

Finding Gloucester to be the town that he and his partner would like to raise their young boys in, he started working in the large team environment of Drifta, fine tuning his joinery skills.

He is now very excited to be back in building and construction, doing what he enjoys most.

We believe Jay’s experience and knowledge in carpentry will be a great addition to Galvin Construction and the quality of work we aim to deliver.

On the 1st of December 2024, we were fortunate enough to celebrate Galvin Construction’s 1st birthday!

With a fundraising event at Newcastle racetrack (coincidently falling on this date) we thought it was a great opportunity to also celebrate our staff who have supported us in our first year as this business. As well as Lou Hair (other business), with the salon opening this year, it was the perfect opportunity to combine our Christmas celebrations to thank the amazing support crew that we share.

In addition, together we were able to contribute to the amazing work that Lifeline does, as they provide help and support for those in need who are battling mental health.

EVERY 36 SECONDS LIFELINE RECEIVES A CALL!

It was a wonderful event, for a cause that many of us or our families and friends will experience over our lifetimes. The trackside Marque managed to raise over $43,000.00 that day!

We will absolutely be sharing this experience again.

From Dale (boss/dad/hubs) and Chantelle (boss/mum/wifey), we would like to say Thankyou to all of our wonderful clients who have supported us in the first year of Galvin Construction.

The boys have been working locally and down in the Hunter this week, working on a variety of jobs.

With the ever-increasing demand for our services, BWNG’s administrative team has grown substantially over the last five years. The Ageing and Disability Services department alone has more than doubled in that time.
To accommodate the organisation’s growth, we’ve enlisted local business Galvin Construction to perform some renovations to our premises, converting more of the building into office space.
We look forward to sharing the results soon

Making a house feel like your home.

We are constantly putting little touches of ourselves into our family space.

We renovated our home, ripping out 6 walls and reconfiguring it to be a light open space.

It’s a small home, so to make it feel bigger we raked the ceiling above our kitchen and added skylights for natural sunlight.

To start with, we painted everything white so that we had a blank canvas. Now over time we have added touches like our timber feature wall to add warmth, style and make it feel homely.

You can do so much, even in a small space, by thinking about how the room feels and flows when you walk in.
