Excavator Operator – Earthworks Projects | QLD-Based
Location: Southeast Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast)
Industry: Earthworks
Remuneration: Competitive hourly rates (based on experience) and company vehicle supplied
We are a well-established earthworks company servicing residential, commercial, and civil projects across Queensland and Northern NSW. Due to ongoing growth and new project wins, we are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Excavator Operator to join our professional team. Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday.
Role Overview:
The successful applicant will be responsible for operating excavators across a variety of sites, performing tasks such as bulk earthworks, trenching, site cuts, pad preparation, and detailed excavation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate excavators up to 36T on residential and civil earthworks sites
• Perform basement digs, site cuts, trenching, pad preps, drainage works, and rock breaking
• Complete pre-starts, daily maintenance, and safety documentation
• Work efficiently with supervisors and ground crew to meet project timelines
• Maintain high standards of safety and machine care at all times
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating excavators in an earthworks or civil construction environment
• Current Excavator ticket (RIIMPO320F or equivalent)
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Ability to read and follow plans and levels (laser/grade control knowledge is an advantage)
• HR or MR licence preferred but not essential
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship
