Part 4 of our 6300L Feedlot Series.

New feature on these ones: Rio bar for grip on the outside AND the inside, bolted straight to the feeder so it's not going anywhere. With the extra capacity comes extra height, so you've got a proper way up and down — and plenty of vantage points to check where the feed's sitting.

Speaking of height, Ben's not the best gauge at 6'9" 😄 — so we've run longer handles to make the lid nice and easy to open, and bolted on 5mm plate lid stoppers on the side sheet and at the front, plus one on the opposite side.

Then it's over the top for a look inside. Flat and rod running the length, supports along the bottom feed area, and a narrower rod than the 4200L so the feed diverts cleanly into the feed area. Same internal supports on the 45° hopper sheet, just more of them — plus end supports and flat washers throughout.

Plenty of internal support in a 6300L. When you're carrying that much feed, the inside matters as much as the outside.

Part 3 of our 6300L Feedlot Series: the frame and base.

Down the sides we've run 16mm rods — if you've got cattle leaning on the feeder, they're not shifting this. More of a brace than anything, and it doubles as a handy tie-down point when you're loading onto a truck.

The feeder itself is 2 metres wide rather than 1.6, so we've widened the skid to match — from 1,160mm out to 1,440mm — and run more uprights underneath to carry the extra weight above. Forklift sleeves are still there, so even shorter pallet forks will pick it up.

And here's the bit that makes it work for everyone: a slightly lower base frame than our Ultimate Series, paired with our older sheep-white base. Higher trough height on a lower frame means the access sits nice and high for feedlot cattle, but low enough that sheep and calves can still get in. One feeder, both jobs.

Same base design as every UTF feeder: fully welded, hot dipped.

Part 2 of our 6300L Feedlot Series: adjustable feed flow.

The markers are right there on the side — 0 through to MAX at 100mm — so you can see exactly where your settings are at a glance.

That 8mm plate is heavy, so we've built in a spot to hook a crowbar in the side and lever it up while you adjust. Loosen the wheel stud, slide the plate up or down, done.

A couple of other things are worth a look: drainage slots through the trough area so water dissipates away from the feed, a vertical hopper sheet coming up before the standard 45° angle — plenty of head room for cattle, and it works just as well for sheep.

The final part of our 4200L Ultimate Series Feeder — and some of the newest updates yet. Fresh lid hinges and 5mm plate lid stoppers, plus a longer handle, so the lid pulls back quick and easy without bending anything out of shape.

Then it's over the top for a look inside: we've changed the angle of the internal supports so feed runs straight off them, and fitted bigger diversion plates in the bottom to push feed toward the middle and away from the ends. Less feed sitting where it shouldn't — more going where it should!

Part 5 of our 4200L Ultimate Series Feeder: the turnbuckles. We've moved away from the old ratchet design that could slip when adjusting — this one's a simple rod that slides through and turns easily, with grease ni***es on both sides to keep it that way for years.

Best bit? The calibration markers are right on the turnbuckle — you can see exactly where your settings are at a glance, no crouching down to check a slider.

And it all comes standard with a cleaning tool that reaches around the back of the tongue restrictor (where moisture starts blockages), plus a simple clip-on cover to keep the whole lot out of the weather!
