This is a question we often get asked, about bathrooms and mould in silicon.

Here is some information from one of the leading experts and installers in the industry.

We regularly get asked what stops the mould in showers.
1. Good ventilation and keeping shower dry.
2. Using a good sealant.
3. Cleaning the sealant with vinegar not with bleach or exit mould as that is not killing the mould spores.
4. Don't scrub sealant as it will delaminate and cause water to go between the sealant and wall, causing it to go mouldy.

This is our shower it was resealed in December of last year.
