BREAK-INS IN QUEENSLAND ACTUALLY WENT DOWN LAST YEAR.

Unlawful entry fell 7.9 per cent across the state in 2024-25 compared with the year before, according to the Queensland Government crime data reported in April.

That is good news, and we are not going to pretend otherwise to sell you something.

THIS IS WHAT ACTUALLY TURNS UP AT YOUR HOUSE.

People picture cameras. A home system is usually four or five quiet little things that talk to each other, and most of them are smaller than your hand.

Swipe through.

The hub. The brains of it. Every device reports to the hub and the hub talks to your phone.

The motion detector. Goes where a person has to walk, not where a curtain moves. Placement is most of the job with these.

The camera. Positioned for faces and number plates, not for a pretty wide shot of the lawn.

The keypad. So the family can arm and disarm on the way out the door without hunting for a phone.

That is genuinely it. Nothing here needs a printed manual stuck to the fridge.

Our Team walks every client through the lot before we leaves. If you cannot use it you will not arm it, and a system nobody arms is just expensive furniture.

THIS BRISBANE KITCHEN DOESN'T STOP FOR A SECURITY UPGRADE.

Tatsu Ramen & Gyoza Bar in Fortitude Valley runs the way every good Japanese kitchen runs. Prep, service, clean, repeat. Nobody has a spare afternoon to stand around while someone drills holes in the walls.

So we worked around them.

Swipe through and see the trade off we did not make. Coverage on the till, the back of house and the rear entry, and the fitout still looks like the fitout. The brick, the timber, the murals, all untouched. No white plastic boxes bolted over someone's artwork.

The photo that actually matters is the one of Kenton going through the app, standing on the floor of the venue with the owner before we left. Handover is not an email with a PDF attached to it.

HE RODE THROUGH THE NIGHT SO OTHER FAMILIES DON'T FACE IT ALONE.

From 10am Saturday to 10am Sunday, ProCCTV's Brendan took his turns on the criterium track at Albert Bishop Park in Nundah for 24 for MND.

Four mates. One relay team, Fire Fab Australia. One rider allowed on the track at a time, right through the cold hours. Brendan put his hand up for most of the night shift.

They set out to raise $2,000. They finished on $2,510.

Motor neurone disease has no cure. The MND and Me Foundation supports Queensland families living with it and funds the research working toward one. Brendan's wife's cousin, a keen cyclist too, died from MND a few years back.
