PVC shortages are now gaining national attention, with industry concerns continuing to escalate.

Master Plumbers CEO Ashleigh Dalmau featured in the Herald Sun today, reinforcing growing concerns across the plumbing and construction sectors as supply constraints and rising material costs persist.

With reported PVC price increases of up to 35%, the impact is not only being felt by trades, but also has broader implications for housing delivery and affordability. In response, the Federal Housing Minister has called an urgent meeting with stakeholders to address the issue.

Master Plumbers will continue advocating for our members and keeping industry voices front and centre as discussions progress.

Nice little fridge water supply sorted over the weekend. Cut into the cold water supply above the bathroom and ran new 20mm pex water line in ceiling over to fridge location. New 20mm copper through down back of cupboard to new ball valve and pressure limiting valve and onto fridge supplied pipework. Not a terribly complicated job but one completed neat and tidy over the weekend for a very patient client who waited over a week for our calendars to align.

All in a days work. A little issue with the new door, the wall now leaks. Get up to Ningi, cut the wall open to find this little issue. Out with the old, in with the new, water back on and off to the next one.

Tidy toilet Tuesday. The client was told by previous plumber that this toilet choice would not and could not be installed. With a little investigation it was possible and a very neat and tidy installation too. At No Cracks Plumbing we are aligned with the clients wants and needs and will bend over backwards to provide the old fashioned service you expect.

A couple of new vanities installed at our valued clients properties last week. The smaller one was a mission with some pipework being rerun, another floor tile cut to fill the hole one the floor and all the normal work. The larger one similar issues with the pipework inside the wall and the cavity for the waste pipe was a little tight to say the least. We still got it done neath and tidy as usual. The No Cracks Plumbing way.

Bit of a late finish yesterday. New hot water unit installed, relocated and ready for eletrical this morning. Certainly the weather to get on don’t. Client didn’t mind no hot water for a night.
