Both stripped and ultrasonic cleaned, all gasket faces sanded flat and reassembled with major rebuild kits. Quadrajet had extremely worn primary throttle shafts so was drilled and bronze bushings installed to bring back into spec

Some more work done before

- Astra power steering pump on a ve commodore plumbed and wired, due to being on e85 and new 1/2 inch fuel lines being ran was able to utilise the original fuel hard lines to get under the car being really low, and run up through the driver rear rail into the boot where we have mounted the pump due to no space in front of vehicle.

- Trans service, new trans cooler and lines done on a ht Holden along with redoing the brake hardlines to the proportioning valve as we’re plumbed back the front and remove the residual pressure valve as this car has been fitted with 4 wheel disc brakes. No more trans leaks and stops a lot better now.

Abit late but Happy new year to everyone!!!

Has Been a quick minute and have been slack on posts but will have some good ones once one of the current long term jobs is further along. Quick run up north at Little to pick up the next resto for Stig’s. A 1968 semi auto beetle. after sitting for the better part of 14-15 years, time to bring new life into the old girl before it travels south to meet back up with her owner and see the road again.

Sadly I’ve had to promise the lovely owner that I won’t hotrod this one as I have been known to cut these vw’s up in the past 🤣🤣🤣 so this will be a return to showroom factory job. Will post bits and drabs as time goes on.
